Pride is celebration is the second issue in a series about Pride.
Millions of queer people take to the streets each year during one of the many Prides held around the world. These marches are both a protest and a celebration: colourful parades honouring hard-won LGBTQ+ rights, the diversity of a community and the uniqueness of individuals, the joy of visibility and the importance of belonging — without ever forgetting the LGBTQ+ victims of hatred and exclusion.
Pride is love. Pride is freedom. Pride is community. Pride is liberation. Pride is protest. And Pride is also a celebration, always.
