Chasing the Rainbow is a magazine about Pride and a project on LGBTQ+ rights in Europe.

Attend at least one Pride in every country in Europe. I woke up one morning in the winter of 2023 with this idea. Originally there was an additional condition: to do it in one year. I soon realised that this would be practically impossible, as almost all major European Prides take place from May to August, with – not surprisingly – a peak in June.

Nevertheless, the idea remained dormant. Not only would this project be a unique opportunity to get to know all the local queer communities better, it could also give me an insight into what unites queers across the continent as well as where they differ. And most importantly, it would make me more of a part of a community that I love with all my heart and soul. So in May 2024, I set off on a Pride tour that would take me to eight European countries in the first year. This tour continues in the years ahead.

The insights and experiences from this Pride tour are the direct reason for Chasing the Rainbow, a magazine on the state of Pride.
